There are some costs associated with going to school that you may find it helpful to plan and budget for.
These include:
uniforms
school books and equipment
excursions
- co-curricular activities.
Voluntary school contributions
Like all NSW public schools, we can request contributions to enhance our educational and sporting programs including elective subjects. School contributions help provide additional educational resources for the benefit of students. Payment is voluntary.
For more information, visit the Voluntary School Contribution policy.
Fernhill School contributions
These include a Technology Fee of $30 and Voluntary Contributions of $50. This is a total of $80 for the year, which equates to $7.50 per term for technology use and $12.50 per term for the voluntary contribution. This is utilised to support school programs and activities in providing class resources and facilities beyond those provided by the Department of Education.
Payment options are: cash or eftpos (both paid direct at the school office) or Parent Online Payments which can be paid via our Fernhill School website.
Your prompt payment of these fees is appreciated and goes a long way to supporting our school resource supplies.
Financial assistance
If you are unable to pay school contributions because of financial hardship, you may be eligible for assistance from the school.
Our principal will ensure no student or family suffers any discrimination or embarrassment over the inability to pay school contributions.
