Travel to school
At Fernhill School, there are a range of safe transport options available. There is the option for parents or carers to drive their child to and from school or if you are eligible, you can apply for the Assisted School Travel Program.

Driving and parking on school grounds
The start and end of the school day are extremely busy times for pedestrians and drivers in our school.
There is no street parking available however, parents and carers are welcome to use the schools car park shared by both staff, community and families.
When driving and parking in our school car park, please:
- adhere to the 10km per hour speed limit
- ensure you park safely - friendly staff in HIVIS vests are available to help during these busy times
- Two YELLOW disability parking spots are kept for families with wheelchairs only
- Six blue disability parking spots are available for others
- follow the arrows which flow in one direction only
- do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school.
